The first significant snowfall of the season has arrived in our tiny part of the world, and with it comes a picturesque winter wonderland. No matter which direction you turn your head, the snow-covered trees and hills create breathtaking views that leave you in awe.
As I stepped outside this morning, I was greeted by the most beautiful winter scenery that filled me with a sense of complete tranquility, something I really needed after a busy holiday season. The snowfall had transformed everything into a serene wonderland, and it was simply magical. I couldn’t resist taking some stunning photos to capture the moment and bask in the pure beauty of nature.
My husband couldn’t wait to get my daughter bundled up and let her experience sledding for the first time. It was definitely a moment to remember.
I typically prefer to enjoy the snowfall from inside of the house, but now that I am living in the country, it brings me a totally new appreciation for the white flakes. Of course, I may just be saying that because my husband is usually the one that has a snow-scooping duty…but who knows!
Here are some of my favorite pictures that I took today.
I love the way the garden shed and the greenhouse look in the snow. This little bench under the tree is also one of my favorite spots to capture.
This spring and summer Aubrie will get to spend time learning how to garden with Grammy. I hope I get to pop in on a few lessons, too, because it is something I have always wanted to learn. Grammy’s garden is absolutely breathtaking.
I had a snap a picture of my Hunter boots. The last time I wore these was when Jeff and I eloped in the mountains at Rocky Mountain National Park. You can read more about that here.
I encourage you to get outside even if it is only for a few minutes to enjoy the fresh air immediately after a snowfall. Beauty is something that you can’t beat. I feel like I am in a dream with these winter views.
